Ph.D. in Business Administration

With the mission of preparing qualified individuals for teaching and research positions in academia, the Ph.D. in Business Administration program admits a cohort of doctoral students every two years. Within the minimum of three years of full-time graduate study, students are involved in foundational coursework, major areas of study, research methodology courses, preliminary examinations, and a culminating original dissertation research project. Doctoral students may select to concentrate their studies in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Marketing. Accepted students will receive a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend while completing the program full-time, but there will be minimal academic fees each semester.

To earn the minor, students must complete at least 15 semester hours of coursework and fulfill all prerequisites. Minors in Business Administration can expect to take courses in marketing, managing organizational behavior, microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial accounting, and upper-division electives.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

As a generalist degree that is designed to provide career building experiences for persons from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program includes a total of 12 courses for 36 credit hours in preparation for a broad variety of occupational aspirations.
