Bachelor of Business Administration – Management
This is the foundational degree in business administration for undergraduate students. The curriculum is based on training in the basic principles of organizational behavior and the application of business practices in the workplace. The 120 credit program encompasses requirements from UK’s general education and core programs, pre-major classes, and business major courses. Students study a variety of topics including: behavioral theories, human resource management techniques, group organizational dynamics including teamwork principles, small business and international business concepts, and marketing strategies. Upon completion of degree requirements, graduates will be eligible for many entry level positions in the business industry or to enter management training programs with specific corporations.
Minor in Business

The Gatton School of Business and Economics at UK offers all students the opportunity to pursue a minor in business to complement their degree major. The minor is open to all non-business majors and entails 39 credit hours covering pre-minor and minor requirements. MBA
The MBA programs offered at UK are diverse, with a number of ways for students to earn a Master of Business Administration. The focus of all MBA programs is to enhance the course content with real world applications that integrate knowledge and practice of advanced business skills with experiences on the job. Students can complete the 46 credit program in approximately 17 months.
- A studies abroad program offering an MBA from UK in conjunction with the Technological Institute of Piraeus, Greece provides an international flair to the program and prepares graduates for business in the global setting. It’s curriculum is akin to that of the professional evening format and is designed to be completed in three semesters, about 18 months.

Cohort classes are held in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. - The highly regarded entrepreneurship MBA appeals to those who are interested in innovative leadership skills or creating new businesses. MBA
WKU’s outstanding MBA program has ranked in the top 5% of MBA programs twice since 2011. The 33 credit hour program is delivered in a number of flexible ways to facilitate the schedules of busy working professionals. All coursework covers advanced theory and application of business practices in diverse areas such as microeconomics, organizational behavior, information technology strategies, and contemporary issues in business. Formats for the MBA degree include:
- A full-time, one-year option designed for undergraduate degree holders who wish to pursue an MBA degree prior to entering the workforce or for other degree holders who are looking to advance their leadership and management skills in their administrative capacities.
- An affordable, online option that allows flexibility for numerous individuals seeking to obtain an MBA. The program operates from an adult learning theory where only one class is completed each seven weeks. Students may take as little as little as 18 months or up to five years to finish degree requirements.
- A professional MBA program equivalent to an executive MBA geared for those who have been working five or more years as mid-to-upper level managers. The program is designed to be completed in two years, with students meeting on alternate Saturdays year-round to complete coursework. In addition, study teams meet independently outside of class to complete projects.
