Fairleigh Dickinson University

Silberman College of Business

The Silberman College of Business is available through all three Fairleigh Dickinson University campuses, including Madison and Teaneck in New Jersey as well as the Fairleigh Dickinson campus in Vancouver, Canada. B.S. in Business Administration

The University’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree offers undergraduates a broad based business background complemented by specific area of concentration in the form of optional concentrations in Information Systems and International Business. The 121 credit program of study is divided among 39 Business Core and Restricted Business Core credits, 21 Business Major Course credits, 13 Freshman Seminar and University Core credits, 36 General Education Requirement credits, and 12 Free and General Elective credits. Business Core classes include Organizational Behavior, Principles of Marketing, and Managerial Information Systems. Business Major Courses are selected in consultation with a faculty advisor, depending on the student’s area of specialization and fulfillment of prerequisites for different classes. The Internship Program allows students to gain real world experience while studying. In addition, some internships may also count as credit toward the B.S. in Business Administration degree.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The Fairleigh Dickinson Master of Business Administration program is one of the most flexible accredited business administration degree programs in New Jersey. The traditional MBA offers nine areas of specialization, including a personalized study option, as well as accounting, finance, marketing, information systems, international business, pharmaceutical management, and entrepreneurship concentrations. The Accelerated MBA allows undergraduates to earn an MBA in just 15 months, while the Saturday MBA is a hybrid course combining online and classroom learning as part of this 21 month 30 to 40 credit program of study. MBA students complete the Core Curriculum Requirements, which include 12 credits of Foundation Courses like Financial Accounting: End-User Applications, Economic Analysis, and Principles of Finance. Monmouth University

Leon Hess Business School

Monmouth University’s Leon Hess Business School offers a variety of accredited business administration degree programs in New Jersey. The small classroom focus of the Hess Business School’s business administration programs allows students to develop strong leadership and communication skills. A combined BS-MBA program can be completed by qualified students in five years, offering a fast track double degree alternative for business administration majors.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The Business School offers a variety of BSBA concentration areas, including real estate, accounting, economics, marketing and management, economics and finance, marketing, finance, management and decision sciences, and international business. The Accounting Concentration is designed to fulfill the undergraduate requirements for taking the CPA exam and includes Major Courses like Principles of Managerial Accounting. The Economics, Finance, and Real Estate Concentrations focus on micro-, macro-, and ecological economics; risks and rewards of stocks and bonds; and hands on experience at the Kislak Real Estate Institute, respectively. Master of Business Administration

Monmouth University’s Master of Business Administration can be completed as a stand-alone graduate program or as part of the five-year BS-MBA combined course available to eligible undergraduate students. Moreover, an accelerated one year MBA degree is available to those who have an undergraduate degree, eligible GMAT scores, CPA or CFA licensing, and a master’s or doctoral degree. The 48 credit MBA is available without an area of specialization or with an emphasis on accounting, finance, or real estate. Students complete 18 Basic Core credits and 30 Advanced Core credits by attending courses on Economics for Management, Production and Operations Management and Lab, Globalization, and Management Science.

School of Business

The School of Business at Montclair State University offers some of the most comprehensive undergraduate and graduate accredited business administration degree programs in New Jersey. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Montclair’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration allows students to specialize in either the Hospitality Management or Management concentration. Hospitality Management Majors will take 77 credit hours, divided among Business Fundamentals (15 credits), Integrated Core (6 credits), Hospitality Management Core (five 3 credit courses), Hospitality Management Concentration Electives (three 3 credit courses), Hospitality Management Collaterals (3 credit hours total, two courses), Major Electives (3 semester hours), Business Administration Collaterals (12 semester hours), and Business Administration Career Learning (4 non-credit courses consisting of one three hour lecture each regarding the transition from campus to career). Those electing to major in Management will also complete the Business Fundamentals, Integrated Core, Major Electives, Business Administration Collaterals, and Business Administration Career Learning requirements. They also meet the Management Concentration requirements by taking Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management as well as two courses from among a number of management electives like Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

MBA

The School of Business at Montclair State University also offers a number of competitive MBA programs, including the Main Campus, Weekend and Saturday MBA options. The MBA programs are designed to enhance analytical skills and provide students with the opportunity to travel internationally and learn about the global business environment through a faculty guided trip abroad. The Montclair MBA can be completed in 24 months on the main campus, or within 21 months as part of the Saturday MBA or the Weekend MBA. School of Management

With 700 full time students, the School of Management at the New Jersey Institute of Technology offers a faculty to student ratio of 1:28. MBA

As one of the most technologically forward thinking accredited business administration degree programs in New Jersey, NJIT’s MBA is offered as both a full-time on campus course of study and as a part-time program of study that may be completed online, or through evening or weekend classes. Three concentration areas are available to MBA students: Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Finance. The 48 credit program includes Intro to Accounting and Finance or Financial Statement Analysis, as well as 27 credits of Required Core courses like Global Macro Economics, Info Systems Principles or IS 677, and Competing in Global Markets. Students also take 12 Elective Core credits in classes like Management of Technology and Data Mining and Analysis. MBA students fulfill 9 credit hours in their elected concentration, with MIS Concentration classes including, Business Process Innovation and Enterprise Data Management, while the Finance Concentration covers International Finance and Derivatives.
