Online Business Program at Brigham Young University
Brigham Young University offers online programs through its Idaho campus. A Bachelor of Science in Business Management with Entrepreneurial Management is available. The program is intended for students seeking to begin or advance their careers in business. Students learn the core business theories and principles that enable them to make a direct impact on today’s workplace. The program provides students with the knowledge and abilities needed to make effective decisions, lead valuable action, and execute innovative processes. The online courses are designed based on the BYU-Idaho Learning Model and learning activities are modified to the online platform. Students progress together through the semester and there is constant interaction among students and their peers as well as with the instructor. Students must complete at least 120 credits to graduate from the program. The core courses include business fundamentals, career development, spreadsheet analysis for business, financial accounting, managerial accounting, production, and operations management, economic principles and problems-micro, economic principles and problems-macro, financial management, organizational effectiveness, marketing management, and business statistics. The entrepreneurial courses include introduction to entrepreneurship, small business creation, and launching new ventures. Students must also complete a beginning internship and advanced business internship.
