On D2L Brightspace, the College of Business and Leadership has accelerated, seven-week courses for busy adults to tackle the Online BS in Business Administration at Eastern University. Chaired by Prof. Tod Gilmore with a Delta Mu chapter, the 121-credit program allows up to 89 transfer credits before enhancing holistic views of enterprises. Mandatory courses like Project Management, Strategic Change, and Accounting have a 15:1 student-faculty ratio for active online discussion. A similar cohort-style, Christ-centered Eastern option is the Online BA in Organizational Leadership.

Adhering to the “Carousel Model,” Eastern University awards a Fast-Track MBA wholly online to deepen strategic analysis skills for ethical, effective business decisions. Eastern University Accreditation Details

In 2013, Eastern University had its Level VI regional accreditation reaffirmed for 10 more years by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) under president Dr. Ronald Matthews. Headquartered in Philadelphia, this organization is permitted by the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate the quality of Eastern’s 44 baccalaureate, 27 master’s, and four doctoral majors on-site and online. The Christian university is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). The College of Business and Leadership is also undergoing the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) candidacy process.

Eastern University Application Requirements

The Fall 2016 acceptance rate of 61 percent suggests that getting into the College of Business and Leadership at Eastern University is “selective.” Online students pursuing the BS in Business Administration should hold 30-89 credits from accredited colleges. Transferred general education courses like English Composition and Calculus must be graded “C” or higher for a minimum 2.0 GPA. Starting the Eastern Online MBA requires finishing a four-year bachelor’s with an overall average above 2.5. The MA in Organizational Leadership prefers a 3.0 GPA with three or more years of experience. For testing, graduates are expected to score at least 450 on the GMAT and 550 on the TOEFL if needed. The Online Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership also reviews master’s thesis work for research competency.

Eastern University has rolling admission to enroll online students every seven weeks. The Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership is the exception with a priority deadline of November 1st for Fall cohorts.
