Online Sports Administration Master’s Degree from Midwestern State University
Midwestern State University offers an online Master of Education in Sports Administration. The program provides students with a solid foundation in theoretical and practical applications in the sports administration and management fields and the link between theory and current research and best practices. The topic areas in the program include organizational leadership, marketing and finance, culture and globalization, event and facilities management, applied research, and media and community relations.
The program requires the completion of 36 total semester hours. The required courses include ethics and legal issues in sport management, introduction to educational research, research methods in sport management, media and community relations in sport, leadership in sport management, managing diversity in sport environments, sport in American culture, globalization and sports, sport marketing and finance, and event and facilities management. Students must also complete a graduate practicum in sport administration.

About Midwestern State University
Midwestern State University, commonly called MSU, is a public institution of higher learning residing in Wichita Falls, Texas. It was established in 1922 as a junior college named Wichita Falls Junior College, making it the second municipal junior college in the state. It changed its name to Hardin Junior College in 1937 to honor Mr. and Mrs. John G. Hardin. It became Hardin College in 1946 after adding the senior college division. In 1950, the school changed its name to Midwestern University and in 1959, it added the graduate school. The university became a part of the Texas Colleges and Universities System in 1961. The school finally became Midwestern State University in 1975. Today, MSU is home to more than 6,000 students on its 255-acre campus. It also has a campus in Flower Mound, Texas. It uses the semester-based academic calendar.

College Work Study
The College Work Study program is available for students who demonstrate financial need, enabling them to work part-time to earn money to assist in paying for academic costs. Students are able to work on-campus in a variety of areas. The pay varies, but typically starts at $7.75 per hour and students are paid bi-monthly. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 Grade Point Average.
