Missouri Baptist University offers an online Master of Science in Sport Management. The flexible program enables students to progress at their own pace and fit into their busy schedules to help them establish a career in the sports fields. The program features hands-on problem solving, projects, research, and internships.

The MS in Sport Management requires the completion of 31 credit hours, including core sport management courses and capstone components. The core sport management requirements include orientation, sport law, research methods, sport psychology, exercise psychology, advanced sport marketing, sport public relations, sport finance, sport entrepreneurship, leadership and management in sport, sport facility management, and sport and social media. The capstone requirement includes an internship in sport management or thesis proposal and research and thesis defense. Students are also able to complete optional courses in sport management project and fitness management.

Missouri Baptist University, commonly called MBU, is a private, liberal arts institution of higher learning residing in St. Louis, Missouri. It was established in 1964 as Missouri Baptist College and the first classes began in 1968 with nearly 200 students. In 1978, the North Central Association granted initial accreditation to Missouri Baptist College. The college continued to grow throughout the first few decades and started offering its first master’s degree in 2000. It officially changed its name to Missouri Baptist University in 2002. The first online degree programs began in 2008 and the first doctoral degree in 2009. The university continued to grow, expanding its residential living and recreation facilities.
